Redback Towing is currently seeking a motivated Accountant for a full-time position.
Location- West Gosford
Salary $75,000 per annum plus superannuation
Qualification: · Bachelor degree or higher qualification in accounting.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required
Duties:
- Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Liaising with tax agent for preparing annual Financial Statements and completing BAS reporting requirements.
- Summarizing current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies
- Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation
- Examining operating costs and organizations’ income and expenditure
- Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
- Securing financial information by completing data base backups.
- Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
- Maintaining financial security by following internal controls.
- Preparing payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
- Preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
