Job description

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of settlements, cash application and insurer settlement, the Accounting and Settlements Manager will work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of all fiduciary cash. This will be achieved through implementing and monitoring effective processes and controls for all cash transactions. The A&S team is responsible for day to day allocation of cash in through multiple accounts, settlement of funds to Insurers and investigation and resolving of unallocated funds. The A&S manager manages this function to ensure accuracy and compliance with all statutory requirements, internal controls and audit requriements.


The A&S Manger will manage the A&S team providing development and coaching increasing team member€™s understanding and ability to support the business.


The A&S Manager will work closely with Operations, Finance and the business to identify areas of improvement and implement new processes and controls to reduce risk and increase efficiency.


This role will require close communication with multiple business functions and an ability to drive ownership and accountability at all levels.

The Role
The A&S manager is a key role, acting as business contact for all Accounting and settlement questions and supporting the A&S team to provide accurate and effective service.
The role is responsible for A&S management for Australia and New Zealand Businesses.


It will be important to the role to develop a good understanding and working knowledge of various company systems and banking platforms as well as a good understanding of compliance and control requirements. The successful person will be responsible for:

  • Management of A&S team function
  • Review Bank accounts daily
  • Review Bank reconciliation monthly
  • Provide team development and coaching through team meetings and one on one coaching
  • Address any performance issues as they arise
  • Review ADMIN records and highlight concerns and items outstanding for action
  • Monthly review meeting including prior month reports and settlement issues
  • Drive ownership and accountability
