The intern will know how to work as part of the accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in Financial Data Entry: Accurately input and organize financial data into relevant accounting software systems, including MYOB and Xero.
- Bookkeeping Support: Aid in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients using various accounting software platforms.
- Reconciliation Tasks: Assist in bank statement reconciliations and other financial reconciliations within MYOB and Xero as required.
- Assist in Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports for clients, utilizing accounting software functionalities.
- Audit Support: Participate in audit procedures, leveraging MYOB and Xero functionalities, and provide assistance to the audit team as needed.
- Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries, leveraging MYOB and Xero communication tools when applicable.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Support various ad hoc projects as assigned by senior team members, utilizing accounting software features for efficient project management.
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Accounting, Finance, or related field).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as MYOB and Xero.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
