My client is a renowned household name in the retail industry, currently experiencing an exhilarating phase of expansion. With a rich history and a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled Accounts Payable Analyst to join their finance team.
Position Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the finance department, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This is a challenging yet rewarding 6-month contract position, with the potential for extension and the exciting prospect of sponsorship for individuals on a working holiday VISA. the role will be covering a new workload of responsibilities due to a transition of systems.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage a high volume of Accounts Payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper coding and authorization of invoices.
- Perform regular analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in month-end closing activities and provide support for audits.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of purchase orders, from creation to reconciliation.
- Ensure all purchase orders are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with procurement and other relevant departments to validate and confirm purchase requirements.
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the retail sector.
- Proficient in using OCR systems, Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Contract Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of extension / sponsorship)
- Location: Sydney, CBD (1/2 days in office)
- Salary: $80,000 per annum + Superannuation
