The Opportunity
Hazelbrook Legal is seeking an experienced Practice Manager or accounts manager to manage and take responsibility for our busy and growing practice.
As a business that prides itself on building strong relationships, your role is pivotal in ensuring strong and positive relationships with our clients and our team. Working closely with the leadership team, you will have responsibility for the billing, debtor and trust accounting functions as well as responsibility more broadly across the business operations.
This role will suit someone who has excellent attention to detail, enjoys a process driven approach and appreciates what it takes to deliver a high quality product. You will enjoy variety and a fast paced environment where your support is critical to the team.

Desired Skills and Expertise
The successful candidate will have key responsibilities in:
Accounts
- Billing/ invoicing including updating timesheets, preparing accompanying emails and amending and sending bills
- Managing special billing arrangements (secondments, retainers etc)
- Trust accounting (record keeping, journal entries, banking, annual and spot audits)
- Debtor management (we have very good relationships with our clients, so this requires a very personal approach)
- Managing day to day billing queries from clients and staff
- Monthly and Weekly reporting (WIP Updates, Monthly billing summaries) Monthly staff budget meetings
Office and Matter Management
- Matter management (opening, conflict checks, closing)
- Onboarding and offboarding employees
- Law society compliance and insurance management
- Organising staff and client events including CPDs
- Management and smooth running of office
