Accounts Recievable - Steel Merchant

The purpose of this role is to maintain a high quality level of customer service and communication with all account customers regarding there account & keep accurate customer details & sales records. The role will also be to help improve customer communications and marketing material for the sales team. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Account customers - Active and updated customer details
• Invoicing and account statement management
• Send and respond to all account customer email enquiries 
• General bank account reconciliation & take customer payments
• Cash Banking & Till reconciliation
• Reconciliation of eftpos terminals daily with bank account.
• Monthly reporting to General manager on customer accounts
• Stock Receiving & Delivery Docket confirmation of arrival.
• Debt Collection letters & referral to 3rd party debt collection when required
• Create & maintain correct customer account credit limits & company credit application forms.
• Assist sales with processing refunds, returns and credit notes
• Take all customer account phone enquiries & payments
• Maintain office consumables, Till Change and printing needs.
• Provide asistance to accounts payable & act as backup when required.
• Filing of documents is required of all customer account forms / packing slips.
• Organising marketing material and events.  Eg Signs, brochures and store event BBQ’s Christmas Sales & Specials will be required.

Essential skills: 

• MYOB or other accounting suite skills
• Bookkeeping/Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable & Staff Payroll
• Invoicing and account statement management
• Monthly financial reporting
• Bank reconciliations weekly & payments received daily
• General office administration duties.
• Have excellent communication skills in person & via phone.
• Be highly organised and able to juggle multiple tasks.
• Have the ability to work autonomously and proactively
• Be a fast learner regarding 1000’s of products available to customers.

Computer Skills:

• Must be proficient with Windows
• MYOB Account Right or Similar accounting software
• Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel,

Desired: 

• Accountant Liaison & know BAS procedures
• Mobile device understanding ( Ipads, Smart phones)
• Advanced Microsoft - Word, Excel, 
• Marketing Experience
