About the role

As part of the Tony White Group, and located within the friendly Ferntree Gully community, Ferntree Gully Automotive is a multi-franchise Dealership with all brands located at the one location.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this accounting position supports the accounting and administration functions our high-volume Dealership. Responsible for general accounting and administration duties, month and year end requirements and ensuring financial compliance in line with company and manufacturers policies and procedures.

 Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • General Accounting and administration duties
  • Deal Processing
  • Utilising company software proficiently and accurately
  • Daily banking/Bank Statement processing
  • Accounts Receivable and Payable
  • Preparing weekly and monthly debtor reports
  • Plus, other industry admin tasks (training provided)
  • Vic Roads transfers
  • Daily payments
  • Basic end of month reconciliations
  • Adhere to manufacturers requirements
  • Used Car Stock Control relief
  • Reception relief
  • Plus, other industry admin tasks (training provided)

The person we seek

We’d love to talk to applicants with some previous accounts experience; an enthusiastic person who wants to make a positive contribution to our business. 

Previous experience in a retail automotive dealership could be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate.

Required attributes, skills and experience

  • Knowledge of dealership management systems (ERA) is a plus

Hours and benefits

We need someone to work between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Due to the varying level of experience we get presented with, salary is negotiated based on experience.
