Background
South Coast Sports Medicine is a busy private practice with two sports doctors, experienced physiotherapists & Exercise Physiologists and colocated osteopath, chiropractor and vocational rehabilitation. With a strong emphasis on sports medicine and exercise prescription we deliver injury management, chronic disease management, musculoskeletal prehab and rehab, injury risk screening, corporate health and ergonomic services.
We have a brand-new purpose-built clinic adjacent to multiple other medical and health services, including the Albany Day Hospital and Albany Specialist Centre. Our clinic has a large exercise studio.
Albany is the major regional town for the Great Southern in Western Australia and is located near to natural attractions such as the Porongurup and Stirling Ranges, karri forest, Fitzgerald River National Park and kilometres of stunning coastline of granite headlands and white sand. With your coworkers being very active in the local sporting community the successful applicant will be able to practise what they preach with the support of the whole team.
Job responsibilities
- Individualised treatment, exercise programming and injury rehabilitation
- Design and assist with new programmes
- Maintain accreditation with proactive and ongoing Professional Development
- Uphold the company's values and ethos
- Engage with senior team members for in-house education
- Maintain effective communication with other Allied Health and Medical Professionals
- Provide one-on-one evidence-based consultations
- Involvement with promotional opportunities and public presentations
- Conduct of small group exercise sessions
Skills and experience
- Experience in providing evidence-based treatment to a range of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions / chronic disease management
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, administration staff, medical staff and other allied health practitioners
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as closely with your colleagues
- Ability to plan continued learning and maintain professional development
- Ability to research for evidence-based treatments and subsequently improve or create new programs

• Current ESSA accreditation
• Current insurance
• Current First Aid & CPR
