About the role and where you will be working:
This is a fixed term/temporary role until June 10th.
Flights from Perth provided along with accommodation in Kalgoorlie.
You’ll be part of a dedicated and close-knit team that provides tailored care that can be adjusted to meet our clients’ changing needs.
As a valued team member, and leader, you’ll be drawing upon your clinical knowledge to ensure that our residents receive the best clinical care from nursing and care staff.
This position is located at our Southern Cross Care - Kalgoorlie location catering up to 22 residents and an additional 29 residents at our Hostel which provides aged care accommodation and short-term respite.
We'll also be asking you to:
- Support, coordinate and mentor a team of nurses & health care workers.
- Provide clinical leadership, assess & develop capability of nursing staff.
- Coordinate & oversee admissions, and clinical documentation.
- Prepare budgets & support cost control initiatives.
- Participate in quality improvement programs. Review & update relevant policies / procedures.
- Consult with SCC WA clinical leads & external medical practitioners to ensure best outcomes for our clients.
About you:
With several years’ nursing & clinical team leadership experience under your belt, you also have an in depth understanding of Aged Care Standards and funding instruments.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:-
- Current AHPRA registration
- Confidence to act in Facility Manager role as required
- Proven track record in leading & driving quality clinical outcomes
- Well-developed investigation & analytical skills
