AddressActive Directory EngineerYour new companyOur client is Big 4 Bank, looking to hire an experienced and motivated Active Directory Engineer / SME to join our EUX Identity Services team for a 9-month contract. You will be responsible for assisting with the remediation and decommissioning of legacy Active Directory environments.
Your new role
Performing assessment and analysis of the current AD environments and identifying areas for improvement and remediation.
Fixing issues which are preventing required upgrades of the platform in each of the 5 AD domains.
Upgrading Domain Controllers, AD Forest and Domain functional levels to supported versions.
Deployment of tools used to manage core platforms to ensure that the upgraded environments meet key non-functional requirements around security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability and usability.
Providing technical troubleshooting at a platform level until it is decommissioned.
Plan and documentation of migration and decommissioning activities.
Working with consumers of AD environments on migration of services to the target environment.
Shutting down and decommissioning legacy domains and infrastructure.
Reporting on the progress and status of the project to the Engineering Manager and the stakeholders.
Contributing to the continuous improvement and the strategic engineering goals within the team and platform.
What you'll need to succeed
At least 5 years of experience in Active Directory Engineering, administration, and support.
Expert knowledge of Active Directory architecture, design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Experience of upgrading and migrating Active Directory environments to supported versions and platforms.
Experience of deploying and using management and security tools for Active Directory, such as AD backup and recovery, AD monitoring, AD auditing, AD group policy, AD access management, etc.
Experience of working with complex and large-scale Active Directory environments with multiple domains; forests, sites, trusts, etc.
Experience of working with legacy and unsupported Active Directory environments and resolving issues and vulnerabilities.
