Suncorp Group are currently seeking an Actuarial Analyst to provide actuarial, analytical, and technical support to the Pricing & Analytics team based in Brisbane or Sydney on a permanent full-time basis.
What you'll do:
Support the delivery of:
- Preparation and analysis of insurance data assets to solve business queries.
- Develop and utilise models to formulate price offerings that meet business objectives and customers' needs
- Implementation of pricing rates into the pricing engine.
- Monitoring of model and financial outcomes and recommend suitable actions.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ad hoc queries.
Actuarial, analytical and technical support includes:
- Data preparation, validation and analysis;
- Design or assessment of the reasonableness and suitability of models and results prepared;
- Documentation of processes, analysis and investigations undertaken;
- Preparation of reports to present results.
What you'll bring:
- Knowledge of spreadsheet (Excel) and coding languages (SAS, Python or R) preferred.
- Strong analytical aptitude.
- Work as a team member and communicate effectively (oral & written).
- Can work independently to meet the deliverables.
- Recent Mathematical / Science / Actuarial Qualifications.
