One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Actuary to exercise a significant degree of independence and will use a high-level of decision-making. The role is based in multiple locations with the successful Actuary to be offered a 12 month with the possibility of an extension.
The successful Actuary will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Applying actuarial and insurance-based techniques to the projection of Scheme costs.
- Satisfying ad hoc requests for modelling and interpretations
- Evaluating and analysing policy decisions.
- Extracting data from Information Systems, working on data linkage and data cleaning
The successful Actuary will have experience in the following:
- Relevant academic qualifications including in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics.
- Associate qualification with significant progress towards Fellowship qualifications.
- 10-15+ years’ experience in Actuary.
- Great communication and leadership skills.
