Follow the link to find out what its like to live, work and play in our wonderful region:About the roleAn opportunity exists for an experienced, collaborative Speech Pathologist looking for the next step in their career!We are a growing, supportive and aspirational team looking for staff who can contribute to our strong team culture, high patient focus and drive for standards of Speech Pathology care.As a Grade 2Speech Pathologist you will be responsible for providing high quality patient care across, acute and sub-acute inpatient clinical settings, Emergency Department, outpatients and/or outreach as required. As a member of the Speech Pathology team, the Grade 2Speech Pathologist will be required to assess, plan, recommend and implement a wide range of Speech Pathology services to inpatients recovering from trauma, surgery, acute illness, neurological deficits and others as required. Current evidence based practice will be utilised to develop effective methods of management, communication and information sharing with other team members and service providers.This position has responsibilities for the supervision of Grade 1 Speech Pathologists and Allied Health Assistants as required. We have a focus on developing staff to achieve their interests and career goals through quality improvement projects and emerging specialisations. This position, amongst others, is responsible for promoting GV Health as a quality regional health service provider.GV Health supports Allied Health staff to participate in structured Clinical Supervision and Professional Development Programs.to learn more about a career and lifestyle as an Allied Health professional at GV Health.We are looking for

• Team workers with a collaborative approach across the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) and with patients and families
• Relevant Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
• Experience in the management of adults with disorders of communication and swallowing within a hospital setting
• Video fluoroscopy experience highly regarded
• Paediatric feeding experience highly regarded
