About the role
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to join our leading mining client in the Bowen Basin. This position is a Monday to Friday roster and for an initial 6 month duration potential to extension.
Key responsibilities
Reports to the Overburden Manager
Establishes and maintains confidential records, correspondence and related material.
Distributes intra- and inter-office communication including external mail, courier services and other correspondence in liaison with other Administrators.
Compiles reports, presentations and other documents as required
Arranges events, meetings, workshops and training sessions including room bookings, catering.
Arranges and coordinates domestic and international travel and ground transfer arrangement
Contributes to the induction and on-boarding of new employees.
Coordinates visitor / guest arrival and departure
Monitors and manages the budget and expenditure for the cost centre
Records minutes where required
Undertakes project, research or analytical work as requested.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 6 months mine experience
Current Standard 11 Induction
Current Driver's Licence
Ability to contribute and work positively in a team environment
Strong administration skills and Microsoft Office Suite.
