This is a chance to catapult your career in a fast-paced, dynamic and customer focused environment!The role:We are seeking a dynamic Administration and Records System Transition Officer to join our team for a 6-month fixed-term contract.We are seeking a highly experience and goal oriented Administration and Records System Officer who will be responsible for overseeing the organisation's records lifecycle, ensuring proper documentation, storage and disposal processes are in place to meet legal, regulatory and organisational requirements.Duties:As a key member of the Governance Team, you will work closely with staff to assist in the transition, operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Council's new records management system to enable the delivery of effective information and knowledge management practices across the business. Key Responsibilities:Promote best practice in information management and increase staff capability through the delivery of onboarding support and the provision of ongoing, high-quality training and assistance to staff as it relates to the use of Council's information systems and processes.Deliver efficient and effective information management systems and practices including system administration in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and process in order to ensure high levels of compliance, continuity of Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS) functionality and integrity of information contained within Council records.Develop and implement processes for the creation, classification, retention and disposal of records.Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution through timely and professional services.Our Values:Respectful: Foster a sense of belonging, embrace diversity, and ensure the wellbeing of our community.Accountable: Own your actions, deliver on promises, and prioritize community needs.Collaborative: Commit to a shared purpose, share information freely, and connect people for better outcomes.Helpful: Be attentive, seize opportunities, and make a positive impact.Skills & experience:Experience in a records management setting and demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of information, records, document and data management and workflow management.Strong communication skills, particularly in presentation and consultation.Why you want to join this Team!
