The WA Police Union (WAPU) is seeking a keen and detail-oriented Administration / Member Services Officer to join their team for a 6 Month Contract. This position will support the WAPU team by assisting with membership services and performing general administrative tasks, including data entry and reception duties.

The WA Police Union (WAPU) represents the professional and industrial interests of nearly 7,000 police officers, police recruits, cadets and police auxiliary officers employed by the WA Police Force. Covering the portfolios of; Legal, Industrial Relations, WHS, Welfare, Media, Internal Advocacy, Research, Administration and Member Services. WAPU plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and ensuring the well-being of its constituents. WAPU is registered with the WA Industrial Relations Commission (WAIRC) and affiliated with the Police Federation of Australia (PFA).
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering WAPU holiday home bookings, handle member inquiries and arranging school holiday ballots
- Accurately process all payments related to WAPU holiday home bookings
- Schedule and ensure the completion of maintenance tasks for WAPU holiday homes and report emergency issues
- Update and maintain the membership database with accurate member details, including bank information, address changes and work locations
- Welcome new members via email, issue membership cards and provide website logins
- Assist Reception in greeting visitors and answering incoming calls
- Maintain and order office stationery
- Provide admin support to senior staff as required
About You
Essential:
- Prior administration experience working with databases and accounts payable functions
- Strong MS office skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sound personal organisational skills
- Possess a friendly and confident manner
Desirable:
- Possession of/or progress towards business (administration) qualification
