The Client

The Opportunity
The position is multifaceted with the focus on administration, finance, customer service and leadership from within corporate services of the council’s small administration office. In addition, the role provides ancillary support to the Senior Executive Officers, the Mayor and Councillors to enable excellent service delivery to the Council's internal and external customer base.

Responsibilities
This is a hands position which provides leadership and training for the administration and support staff team . Duties will include:

• Supervision Admin team
• Identify team training needs
• Conduct Performance reviews
• Maintain all Registers, including Assets
• Administration of EMS , Electronic Records Management System
• Respond to correspondence, including statistical returns
• Management Customer Maintenance System
• Understand Financial Services Business Enterprise System

About You
The successful candidate for this role will ideally possess;

• Business Administration Qualifications or demonstrated experience
• Supervisory & training experience
• Written communication skills including the ability to summarize a document, report and prepare correspondence in an accurate and concise manner.
• Business systems including but not limited to other local government business systems Synergy Soft/Altus desirable.
• Demonstrated efficient customer service, organizational and time management skills including the ability to work autonomously.
• Expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties required at this level
• Open “C” Class Driver’s Licence
