The Melbourne Eastern Private Hospital has been providing specialist services to the community for more than 30 years. Complete a state of the art gymnasium, large hydrotherapy pool and a brand new architect designed Rehabilitation/Medical inpatient unit we can provide a total care experience to both inpatient and day rehabilitation patients.

About the Role

Due to an increase in demand we are now looking for an energetic experienced professional to join our Administration team. Obviously you will be highly skilled in hospital accounts, admission procedures and general administration. However, we are looking for someone to make this role their own - ability to multitask, a flexible approach to managing the daily workload and ability to initiate improvements and efficiencies will make this role yours!

This Reception PA role will be to:

• Hospital Receptionist.
• PA to the Senior Management Team.
• Provide professional customer service ensuring effective, accurate and timely communications with staff and clients.
• Carry out assigned tasks as part of a team that works co-operatively, sharing roles and responsibilities to meet the needs of our patients.
• Complete various auditing and reporting requirements including Data Entry
• Update hospital information systems with accurate patient information and ensure the timely maintenance of patient medical records.
• Follow office processes using various information systems to ensure the recording and filing of various documentation and information are completed accurately and efficiently.

Essential Criteria

• Outstanding keyboard skills, MS office and WebPAS.
• Experience and competence in providing medical administration support within a hospital/healthcare environment
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients and their families
• Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of hospital billing and dealing with health funds
• Committed to creating a positive work culture and providing a 'can do' approach to tasks
• Current Police Check
• Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in the hospital setting using Webpas would be considered desirable
• Previous experience in a Private Hospital setting
• Some knowledge of clinical coding would be an advantage
