The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Dental Department within the Division of Surgical Services as an Administration Assistant in a full-time capacity for a term contract up to 30th June 2024.
As the Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive confidential administrative assistance to the Dental Department, involving coordination of theatre lists and outpatient clinics for consultants and registrars, as well as communication with patients and carers. Additionally, this role would also provide administrative support to the Head of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry and other professional staff when needed. this position will operate within a multidisciplinary team aiming to maintain the high standard of service for all WCHN facility users, encompassing staff, patients, and students.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proficiency in essential software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and scheduling
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
- Demonstrated initiative and adeptness at prioritization and problem-solving under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting seamlessly to changing environments
- Capability to work autonomously, exercising initiative and judgment to ensure timely task completion
