The St Vincent de Paul Society (SA) Inc is a major international charitable and voluntary organisation that has been operating in South Australia since 1884. Our principal role is to provide for, or alleviate, the needs of disadvantaged people in the community.
Position Purpose:
We are on the hunt for an Administrative Assistant to join our Organisational Support Team for a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the GM Organisational Support, this new role will contribute to the smooth operation and effectiveness of the Society.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake secretarial and administrative tasks, including proficient diary management and accurate minute-taking.
- Maintain meticulous records in compliance with organisational processes and legislative requirements.
- Conduct minor research and data collection to support organisational initiatives.
- Actively participate in projects aimed at enhancing and optimising organisational systems.
- Provide dedicated support for The Society's liturgical events.
What we are looking for:
We seek a detail-oriented and adaptable individual who is passionate about providing exceptional secretarial and administrative support and can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in administrative and secretarial roles.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment and contribute positively to a collaborative team.
The successful candidate will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours, as some after-hours work may be necessary, as well as a valid Australian Driver's License, unrestricted Australian working rights, and undergo pre-employment police and medical checks as part of the hiring process.
