Two Positions, Full Time & Part Time (0.8 FTE), Continuing
Salary HEW 5 ($74,095 - $85,113) + 17% Superannuation
Based in Melbourne CBD and Hybrid Working Flexibility
About the Position
The Administrative Officer, Student Financials is expected to provide a high level of service and expertise across a range of Student Financials systems, processes and tasks. The main focus of the role is to work closely with the Coordinator, Student Financials to ensure the smooth functioning of RMIT’s student financial operational processes.
The incumbent is expected to work closely with professional staff across colleges, schools and the Academic Registrar’s Group in order to contribute to the continuous improvement of the student enrolment experience at RMIT.
The position will participate in enrolment support activities across Enrolment and Student Records as required. Occasional evening and weekend work and restrictions on annual leave may be necessary during peak periods.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of quality student administration advice and services, including a sound knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and performance agreements.
Effective self and work organisation skills, including ability to work quickly but accurately, ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure of work volume, ability to prioritise own tasks and capacity to work as part of a team.
Proven initiative and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to quickly extract the priority issues and take action without specific direction where appropriate.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes, while meeting compliance obligations, in a service-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form to clients and stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately to sensitive information and situations; including demonstrated cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural communication skills.
Ability to use a range of information and communication technologies effectively including; Microsoft Office university software packages, web & email software, database use and management.

About the Education Portfolio/Academic Registrar’s Group
The Education Portfolio is led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice-President who is responsible for planning and implementation of the University’s strategies related to RMIT’s academic programs and the student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
