The Occupational Therapy Department are looking for a Part-time Advanced Occupational Therapist - Hands to join their team. The Department provides services to the Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit, Brain Injuries Rehabilitation Unit, Spinal Injuries Unit, medical and surgical wards, cancer services, cardiac services, orthopaedics wards, outpatients (including hand therapy and lymphoedema), and the Security Unit and Mental Health. This role is temporary part-time for up to 12 months, based at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide specialised clinical and consultancy services within Occupational Therapy led Hand Therapy Services. The position delivers advanced Occupational Therapy services to stakeholders/consumers within clinical services in Hands utilising a specialist level of knowledge, skills, experience, and clinical leadership to achieve excellence in patient care, education and research.
This includes:
- Demonstrating advanced clinical skills in the area of Hand Therapy
- Providing service wide Occupational Therapy clinical and professional advice on specialised clinical areas and service delivery models in the area of Hand Therapy management. Including taking a lead role in skill development of less experienced staff.
