About the Role: 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Adviser Assistant to join our vibrant and professional Perth CBD office. The primary focus of this position is to provide exceptional support to a team of Private Wealth Advisers in the delivery of consistent, effective and reliable service outcomes.

Ord Minnett is a leading Australian wealth management firm, offering full-service stockbroking, financial planning, funds management and portfolio services. With a history spanning nearly 150 years, Ord Minnett is a highly respected name in the Australian investment landscape.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Answer incoming client calls and respond to client email queries
  • Accurately prepare client application and account maintenance documentation
  • Execution of adviser and client requests
  • Maintain and store client files
  • Act on instructions that relate to deceased estates, change of trustee & stock transfers
  • Provide consistent and efficient support to advisers
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current corporate actions, product offerings, administration and procedure requirements and general industry knowledge
  • Manage account debtor and credit balances
  • Consistently meet risk and compliance requirements
  • Distributing holding statements periodically
  • Liaising with internal departments and third party providers for various processes

About You

To succeed in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Prior experience and a solid understanding of the financial markets is preferable
  • Degree/Diploma in Business/ Finance/ Commerce preferred.
  • A proven track record in the delivery of exceptional client service
  • Efficient organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines in a high paced environment
  • IT literate and proficient Microsoft application knowledge (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Resilience and ‘can do attitude’
  • Working well in a team and autonomously
