About the role
WorkPac is seeking an experienced Governance and Compliance Advisor to coordinate and monitor Agreement implementation strategies, provide education on commitments And Compliance, support change impact management, engage with internal partners for governance, draft legal correspondence and amendments, and serve as a technical contact for the Traditional Owner Partnerships team.
Key responsibilities
Collate and analyze strategy documents for alignment with existing Agreements workplan
Coordinate and monitor implementation strategies or plans
Provide key information, education, and awareness of Agreement and Partnership commitments And Compliance within the Traditional Owner Partnerships team
Support compliance and change impact management for existing and new partnership agreements and commitments
Engage with internal partners to govern key commitments, including finance and mining benefit payments
Draft relationship and legal correspondence based on Traditional Owner Groups' requests or compliance requirements, such as SCHMP reporting
Provide feedback on technical matters related to Traditional Owner Agreements
Conduct and draft Minor Agreement or commitment amendments
Support endorsement of expertise for correspondence, agreement, or commitment making
Serve as a point of contact for technical legal matters for the Traditional Owner Partnerships team
Understand support needs across the Traditional Owner Partnerships team and work with leadership to review and prioritize team support
Skills and Experience
Understanding of Native Title Agreement legislation
Skills in influencing, negotiation, risk, and conflict management
Ability to conduct assurance activities and manage projects
Experience in strategy support and project management
Experience in developing scopes, plans, and tenders with relevant legislative knowledge
Agreement implementation and review management
Agreement benchmarking
Legislative/regulatory awareness And Compliance
Social and economic impact and opportunity analysis
Business analysis
