The Opportunity Civmec has secured the award of a major construction contract for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The iron ore project includes Greenfields and Brownfields scope with the construction of a new Run of Mine (ROM) pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit and modifications to the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) and downstream conveying system. The Greenfields scope includes a new primary crushing facility, discharge conveyor and transfer station and a 17-kilometre overland conveying system that transfers the ore through to the existing Paraburdoo COS. The overland conveying system includes multiple conveyor flights, transfer stations and creek crossings to link the new primary crusher to the existing process plant.The Brownfields scope includes extensive modifications to the current Paraburdoo COS and downstream conveying system. This includes addition of new feed points at the COS, new ore transfer equipment, conveyor replacements, conveyor upgrades, drive replacements and a range of other general modifications to receive the new ore stream. The Role We are currently seeking experienced HSE Advisors to join our Western Ranges Delivery Team. These positions will be set on a 2:1 Roster and are availble now. if you have experience with the below apply now Implement, audit and conduct inspections of site specific HSE management systems Assist operational teams in complying with the HSE Management system Develop and implement new HSE initiatives Compile and issue HSE based reports (incident reports, trends analysis) Communicate HSE requirements to project/corporate teams Support risk identification and management processes to ensure risk of work activities is reduced to a ALARP Conduct incident investigations and issue findings to project team and management teams as required About You Cert IV OH&S (minimum) First Aid Qualification White Card Demonstrated experience working in the construction, mining and resource industries on large scale projects 2-3 years' experience in a HSE Advisor position Minimum intermediate level across the Microsoft office suite of programs Previous experience within HSE databases Ability to communicate effectively with a range of key stakeholders Incident investigation experience (eg ICAM, Taproot) Civmec + You At Civmec, we offer an inclusive workplace built on family values, with a ‘Never Assume' culture, sustained by our experienced and supportive management team.
