Your day as an Advisor in TII.

In these dynamic advisory roles, your typical day-to-day work includes engaging in tasks that require an excellent understanding of public policy, economic, and financial management. This involves working in teams to undertake research and analyses to contribute to assessments of programs and projects.

Daily responsibilities also include supporting and developing key government policies and budget products, ensuring timely progress and seamless workflows. The Advisor provides routine fiscal and policy analyses, recommending advice and options to facilitate informed decision-making within the NSW government.

This role liaises extensively with other areas within NSW Treasury, with NSW government agencies and equivalents in other jurisdictions across Australia, and with external stakeholders.

In this integral role there are requirements we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.

You will be successful in this role if you are: 

• qualified in a discipline relevant to public policy, finance, economics, law or accounting (or equivalent)
• confident engaging with various stakeholders and building networks
• experienced in policy and financial expertise, and can provide valuable analytical insights and advice effectively.
• experienced project management contact that can assist in various project initiatives.
• have excellent communication and negotiation skills
