Position Overview
Our Villages located in the Bowen Basin are supported by Facilities, Housekeeping, Administration, Guest Services, Health and Lifestyle and Food and Beverage departments.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a permanent role on a 14/7, Drive in / Drive out roster, your base location is flexible but significant travel to our Villages will be required with a Company vehicle provided whilst on roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance in our Villages in a professional, technically sound, safe, and timely manner.
- Ensure physical assets are maintained to a level of which protects the asset and provides a safe working and living environment for our guests.
- Read and interpret maintenance requisitions, specifications, blueprints, and drawings and/or get instructions.
- Prepare layouts and patterns in conformance to building codes using measuring tools, including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, measuring, and marking materials.
- Deliver excellent maintenance services in a timely manner with a minimum of disruption to guests, customers, and employees.
To be successful, you will have:
- Trade Qualification - Carpentry / Certificate III in Carpentry
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of similar work, preferably in the Service/Hospitality industry
- Manual drivers’ licence, Class C
- Flexibility to travel across the Bowen Basin
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proof of working rights within Australia
- Working at Heights Ticket (desirable)
