First Choice Care is an industry leading nursing agency providing nursing support to healthcare facilities across Queensland and remote locations Australia wide.

Our hours of operation are 4:15 am – 11:45 pm, 365 days a year and you will be required to work a flexible roster across morning, afternoon/evening and weekend shifts including public holidays.  This is a casual role with flexible working arrangements to be discussed post training.

The role
We are seeking an experienced Allocations/Rostering superstar to join our high performing Allocations Team based in Eight Mile Plains.  The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in the service delivery and allocation of nursing staff based on client demand. As the first point of contact, an Allocations Consultant is not only responsible for managing, escalating and directing incoming call volumes across the business departments, the role is critical in providing emergency nursing staff relief to healthcare facilities across Queensland.  Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • High level data entry of shift details across multiple systems and platforms
  • High volume of shift allocation and ongoing management including processing time changes, cancellations and adjustments
  • Nursing Workforce management: compliance updates, suitability for shift placement, training, inductions and availability for work
  • High volume inbound and outbound call flow management to healthcare clients, workforce staff and other stakeholders
  • Client and employee engagement calls, cross selling and reverse marketing of available staff into potential shifts
About you
The ideal candidate will have allocations experience in the nursing agency field or health care industry however a background in rostering, allocating or multi-faceted customer service skills would be considered.  You will be proactive with a positive attitude, highly driven and committed to seizing opportunities and optimising business targets.  Your professional and engaging interpersonal skills will see you easily build rapport with clients and nurses as you establish strong professional relationships while providing efficient service delivery.
  
You will be able to clearly demonstrate the following:
  • Previous working experience in rostering and/or workforce scheduling
  • High level computer systems/platform literacy, with excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to coordinate conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment and high pressure situations
  • Effective, professional, and engaging communication and negotiation skills
  • Desire to reach and exceed targets as well as a professional approach to own accountability.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work across a variety of shifts on a 7 day roster and usually outside of standard business hours
  • Proven ability to manage workload to achieve business outcomes.
