Join our Residential Services team at The Views at Heidelberg as After Hours Manager (AHM) where you’ll be part of a diverse, engaging and collaborative culture that is guided by our values of respect, responsibility, community and spirit. You will support residents to live their best life and achieve their personal goals. You will lead care teams and provide expert clinical care and guidance After Hours on a permanent or temporary part-time role, with the ability to pick up additional Registered Nurse (RN) shifts.
What is residential aged care? It’s like a warm hug. Our residential aged care homes are just that - a home for our residents. They provide a comforting and warm space filled with libraries, dining area, communal spaces, activity spaces, hairdressers, and of course, a bedroom and private bathroom for our residents.
We’re looking for After Hours Manager or Grade 5 Registered Nurse to work on permanent, part-time and temporary maternity cover with the following shifts:
AHM Temporary, part-time shifts for maternity cover (end date of 14 April 2024)
Week 1 (21:45-07:15) - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Week 2 (21:45-07:15) - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
AHM Permanent, part-time shifts
Week 1 (21:45-07:15) - Sunday and Thursday
Week 2 (21:45-07:15) - Sunday and Thursday
Grade 5 RN Permanent part-time shifts
Week 1 (0700- 1500) - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Week 2 (0700- 1500) - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
As a Nurse in a residential home, a typical day will see you:
- Providing excellent, person-centred resident care in relation to each individuals needs
- Providing guidance and support to the care team and acting as a mentor in their development
- Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents in accordance with policies, procedures and to meet accreditation standards
- Working collaboratively with the AN-ACC Team and management to achieve expected AN-ACC results and organisational targets
- Encouraging genuine connections between residents, families and staff
- Utilising the suite of technology to report, plan, analyse and manage resident care and workplace behaviour

To join our excellent teams, we’re looking for more motivated Nurse’s with:
- A current AHPRA registration and Registered Nurse qualification
- The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect, and a collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
- An understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
- A high level of accountability for your own work
- A friendly and positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour

To work in Residential Aged Care, you will need the ability to obtain an NDIS clearance, vaccinations (3x COVID & current flu) and provide proof of your qualifications. Don’t worry, we’ll only ask you for these when we need them.
