Title:After Hours Manager

Applications are sought from suitably qualified candidates to work within the After Hours team at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the utilisation of available resources to appropriately meet prioritised demands
- Ensure safe and quality nursing care is provided, in line with the the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia national competency standards, Code of Ethics and the Code of Professional Conduct for nurses in Australia.
- Practice and promote continuous improvement and a culture of learning and evidence-based practice
- Actively participate as a member of the Nursing Management Team and take lead roles for specific projects or portfolios
- Ensure continuity of management practices and strategies across the 24 hour continuum and actively liaise with relevant managers and executive as required
- Be accountable for the safety and well-being of staff, patients, residents, clients and visitors
- Undertake the role of Chief Warden out of hours and in the absence of Executive staff members the Hospital Incident Commander in emergency situations.
Our team requires someone who has:
- Proven experience working in Acute nursing
- Previous experience in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skill
- High level interpersonal skills
This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
