Afternoon Shift Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic | Gladstone Workshop

The role:
Toll Group are seeking Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics to work within our Gladstone Workshop on the Afternoon Shift. Full Time Permanent positions are on offer working on a Monday to Friday basis from 2:00pm - 10:00pm.
As a trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, you will bring your extensive experience in servicing and repairs to our fleet, vehicles the team maintain include: Mercedes Benz, Kenworth, Volvo, Isuzu, Fuso, Hino and Freightliner and Multiple trailer Manufacturers.

• Monday to Friday working week at $50.00 Per hour + 18% Afternoon Shift Allowance

You will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing, repair and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, air conditioning and hydraulic repairs in accordance with requirements detailed on job cards
• Be available to be on rostered rotating shifts and for reasonable overtime.
• All general servicing tasks as required
• To maintain quality and urgency in the work preformed
• Operate in compliance to the NHVAS scheme
• Always Maintain a high degree of safety and in-line with HSE policies + procedures

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Available to work Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday shift
• Possess a Trade Qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic minimum certificate (III)
• Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Previous diagnostic investigation experience
• Be a team player, open and honest who consistently delivers an exceptional customer service experience
• Hold a flexible approach to business commitments
• Ensure that all work is performed safely and that an ongoing commitment to safety is maintained including proactive actions to identify and reduce workplace hazards
