CCA is a busy, non-profit community organization, providing services to frail aged/disability clients for over 50 years. We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Aged and Disability Support Worker to support our clients on day-to-day basis primarily in Ryde/ Eastwood/ Hunters Hill area.
About the role:
Your new role, as Aged and Disability Services Support Worker, will be offered as Casual basis. You will provide support to elderly people and people with disability to continue living in their own homes while maintaining their independence and connection to the community.
What does your new role look like?
- Providing support and tailored care services in a professional and respectful manner according to client’s care plan on day to day basis, such as;
- Transporting and accompanying clients to appointments, leisure, and shopping trips.
- Supporting clients in social support groups and individual services.
- Meal preparation and serving.
- Domestic Assistance, such as light housekeeping, changing linen, laundry, and ironing.
- Building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with clients and their carers.
- Adherence to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe.
About You:
- Minimum 12 months experience working in Aged Care or industry relevant qualification, e.g. Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Home and Community Care.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance – driving is part of the role
- Flexible availability to work during weekdays
- Able to obtain an NDIS worker check & Police Check
- Has 3 covid vaccinations.
