Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Nurse to join our team in Gin Gin, Queensland. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality care to elderly residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans and medical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor residents' health and vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of resident care and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and care aides, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Previous experience in Aged Care nursing preferred but not essential; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of elderly individuals.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
