An exciting opportunity awaits for Aged Care Workers to join the team. selectability, a reputable Aged Care provider is now providing supports in the Lower Gulf of North Queensland. Aged Care Workers play a vital role in the lives of the older persons by providing quality, responsive and compassionate care that supports a trusted and long-term relationship with our older persons. Working closely with the Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and the collaborative healthcare team, the Aged Care Workers will provide person-centred care to support the older persons.

To be successful you must: 

• have a positive attitude 
• experience working in a team environment
• possess clear and effective communication skills 
• demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• ability to work independently and effectively manage time
• be able to follow policies and procedures at all times 
• be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals 

You will also need:

• certificate III in Individual Support/ Home and Community Care/ Aged Care or equivalent qualification
• previous experience working in an Aged Care residential facility
• previous experience working in remote areas (highly desirable)
• current Flu vaccination
• current First Aid and CPR
• a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence 
• a current yellow card exemption or an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au to access this free module). at completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion which you can forward to **********@selectability.com.au
