Our client is a large reputable telecommunications business; they are currently seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be perfect for someone with a Business / Commercial background.
Your new role
With your previous experience delivering projects using the Agile methodology, you will be required to:
Planning and delivering projects within defined budget, schedule, and quality targets.
Maintain all necessary project controls (Schedule, risk & issue register, status reports and other relevant artefacts).
Foster Quality & Communication governance across the project lifecycle to ensure all relevant milestones or epics are completed on time and budget
Prepare all Project governance reporting including weekly status updates, end stage delivery reporting, backlog requests and other required documentation for the purpose of providing key information to business sponsors and steering committee members
Act as a Scrum Master, conducting daily stand ups and stakeholder meetings, sprint planning, backlog grooming and ensuring team meetings to get updates on the progress of the project, address potential roadblocks, and ensure that the project is on track by removing any roadblocks that can hinder the progress of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
Along with your previous relevant experience as a Project Manager within the Telecommunication Industry, you will have:
Proven leadership in the concurrent delivery of major projects in a highly matrixed, Agile organisation.
Extensive exposure & accountable in delivering and understanding telecommunication services
Builds outstanding relationships with customers and peers alike/ Forward looking with a holistic approach
Exposure or participation in business change/business process improvement. Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
An ability to report into high level management with customer and operational updates using a wide variety of productivity tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint etc.)
Exposure to a sales environment within the IT&T industries. (the role does not involve sales).
