The area works collaboratively with not-for-profit, for-profit and government partners to achieve a more effective and integrated service system and improved long-term outcomes for clients requiring assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Work with teams to create project plans including identifying project deliverables, definitions of done, and project timelines
- Conduct regular sprint planning sessions across multiple teams
- Monitor, track, and report progress on project deliverables, including developing new reporting tools and visualisations such as project dashboards, conducting retrospectives to measure team performance/progress, and producing and analysing project metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Coach and mentor team members on agile principles, tools, and rituals

- Assist teams to remove blockers i.e. issues that are impeding the progress of work
- Assist teams in the establishment and management of project risk and issues registers
- Understand the end-to-end impact of the workstream on other work streams and minimise disruption caused by interdependencies
- Proficiency in using Asana and other project management software and tools (mandatory)
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills including proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and use advanced communication to convey complex information to a range of audiences
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate and manage teams
- Well-developed problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to think strategically and creatively
- Knowledge and experience in project management processes and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum within a Queensland Government environment
- Well-developed skills and experience using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to create and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Capability in risk management practices
