Weare seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Agricultural Consultant to joinour team. As an Agricultural Consultant, you will be responsible for providingexpert advice and guidance to farmers and agricultural businesses to help themincrease productivity, manage resources, and maximize profitability.

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum plussuperannuation

Location: Bundaberg Queensland, 4670

Role: Full-time

Key responsibilities include:

·        Provide expert advice to clients on farmingtechniques, crop management, soil fertility, and pest control.

·        Analyse agriculture related issues and developcustomised agricultural plans and strategies for the clients.

·        Support clients in implementing above plansand strategies that can improve production yield, reduce costs and increaseprofitability in a sustainable way.

·        Conduct research and analysis on agriculturalpractices, emerging technologies, and market trends to identify newopportunities for clients.

·        Provide recommendations on crop selection,irrigation methods, fertilization techniques, etc to improve quality andquantity of crop production.

·        Provide guidance on soil sampling proceduresand soil testing.

·        Collect and analyse sample of crop, soil andother agricultural system to understand crop performance, soil quality andfactors affecting agricultural production.

·        Explain soil, tissue and water testing reportsto the clients to optimize the nutrition program.

·        Advise clients on latest growing techniquesand fertigation requirements.

·        Scout crops for Pests, Beneficials, Diseases,Soil moisture and Nutrition deficiencies.

·        Implement and review Integrated PestManagement systems and advise techniques to reduce plant loss due to pests.

·        Work with onsite team to monitor pests anddiseases and monitor implementation of spray program for the farm.

·        Work with farmers to implement Soil Healthand Plant Health programs using Metagen Products and Services.

·        Assess potential risks and challenges such asweather fluctuations, market volatility, and regulatory changes.

·        Develop risk mitigation strategies for theclients to minimise losses and maximise returns.

·        Advice and assist clients in compliance ofregulatory requirements and standard agricultural practices.

·        Provide technical support and training toclients to improve their understanding and application of agriculturalpractices.

·        Prepare and present reports, proposals, andrecommendations to clients and stakeholders in writing.

Requirements and Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or arelated field.

·        At least 2-3 years of experience as an Agricultural Consultant ora similar role.

·        Knowledge of Queensland agricultural sector is preferred.

·        Experience using Metagen Products and/orServices.

Skills and Competencies:

·        Strong eye for detail

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Strong knowledge of farming techniques, crop management, livestockmanagement, soil fertility, and pest control.

·        Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

·        Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Willingness to travel as required.
