AddressOne of the largest firming organization in South Australia is looking for an experienced, skilled Welder/Metal Fabricator to join their successful team in Virginia South Australia.
The role will include assisting the workshop with metal fabrication repairs.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Welder-Metal Fabricator is responsible for manufacture and repair work on metal products and structures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules
- Performing repairs and replace defective worn or metal parts
- Study blueprints/drawings and specifications for each job
- Dismantling and removing components, and checking parts
- Select, cut, clean and prepare metal for fabrication
- Mark out metal sections and cut using appropriate tooling
- Align joins, join metal sections using welding techniques, bolting and riveting
- Examine welds and clean, polish, file and acid bathing for finish
- Smooth and grind welds as appropriate
Qualifications required:
- Experience within a similar role
- Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of fulltime experience
- Have a good eye for detail
- Must have intermediate or above computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures.
- Be motivated and able to achieve targets
An attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience.
This is offered at basic salary of between $ 55,000 - $ 70,000 p.a + Superannuation
