Your new role
- 6-8 month ongoing temporary assignment
- Analysing Air Quality and metrological data to assess contribution to dust exceeding (when dust levels breach licence thresholds).
- Engaging & collaborating with site operational teams to determine the effectiveness of site dust controls and whether these played a part in failing to mitigate dust risks. Includes dust equipment compliance and ore moisture.
- Managing dust exceedance and licence non-compliance events in EMS (submission, participating in & ensuring operations lead associated investigations).
- Collating dust exceedance information and reporting to Risk Owners (Site production managers) and Site general managers on dust performance, trends and risks.
- Leading the development of Air Quality related information used in quarterly and annual government reporting (AQ only, doesn't include other Env data such as contamination, waste water etc).
- Analysis of dust data seeking patterns and relationships to help support root cause identification.
- Working to standardise and improve the investigation process. Supporting technology contractors in automation/streamlining the process to deliver efficiencies.
- Participating in and providing AQ performance updates in various internal and external forums.
What you'll need
- A Tertiary degree in science, engineering, environmental management, or other relevant discipline is highly regarded.
- Experience analysing Air Quality data
- Experience summarising Air Quality assessment outcomes in stand-alone reports and/or environmental approval documents
- Working knowledge of Air Quality related legislation and regulation across Australia
- Familiarity with the development of Air Quality monitoring programs and management strategies
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
