Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) is a world class pilot training organisation providing customised aviation training solutions for the fixed wing and rotary wing industry and has been in operation since 1982.
FTA has two campuses, one based at Parafield Airport in South Australia, which conducts both fixed and rotary wing training. The second campus is based at Wellcamp Airport in Queensland and conducts fixed wing training only.
Job tasks and responsibilitiesWe are currently looking for suitably qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team.
FTA owns and operates Australia's largest fleet of Diamond piston engine aeroplanes and additionally operates the Mudry CAP 10 aeroplane and Schweizer helicopters.
The role is based at Parafield Airport and reports to the Engineering Manager.
Skills and experienceAll applicants are required to have General Aviation maintenance experience and be able to demonstrate/provide evidence of the following :
- Cert IV Aeroskills (Mechanical)
- Demonstrated ability to use their initiative to problem solve
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience with single and multi-engine piston aircraft
Candidates must either be a citizen or have permanent residency in Australia or New Zealand. Candidates must return a negative reading for a mandatory pre-employment AOD test.

Salary range is between $70,000 and $80,000 depending on qualifications.
