We are the exclusive Shell licensee in Australia, and supply around a quarter of Australia's fuel through our extensive network of over 1,250 service stations and through our commercial partnerships with some of Australia's biggest companies in the aviation, marine, transport, resources, construction and manufacturing industries - we help industries reach their destinations too!
About the role
We currently have opportunities at our Melbourne Airport for Aircraft Refuellers on a Casual basis. This role would suit someone that wants to stay active and has an interest in the aviation industry. Twelve weeks of intensive training will be provided.
A day in the life of an Aircraft Refueller:
- Primarily working on tarmac looking after customers and Into Plane Fuelling
- Driving fuel dispensers (including Heavy Rigid vehicles).
- Performing, monitoring and testing fuel and fuelling equipment
- Working at heights
- Manual handling and data entry
- Provide high levels of customer service
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Fuel quality control (testing).
- Strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills with a positive outlook
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Attention to detail
- Strong commitment to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) practices
- Desire to work and contribute to a high performing team
- Current Heavy Rigid and Dangerous Goods licenses desirable; however can be obtained during employment
- Reliable transport and current drivers licence (min. two years full licence).
- Flexibility to cover changing workload demand within an airport over a 24 hour operation which will include weekend work
