The Opportunity:
Silk has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time experienced Team Leaders to join our Derrimut operation. Team Leader will be supporting 6-10 silk employees (pick packers and forklift drivers).
Afternoon Shift – 2pm start
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Organising daily / weekly tasks for your direct team
- Providing support and training for direct team members
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to within the operation
- Reporting any hazard and near misses or unsafe behaviours
- Providing superior customer service for designated key contacts
- Ensuring compliance with Work, Health & Safety Policies and Procedures and legislative requirements
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Forklift Licence (Essential)
- Demonstrate Team Leadership skills and the ability to drive results
- Certificate II or III in logistics / supply chain (Desirable)
- Strong communication skills with an ability to talk to different stakeholders
- A proven track record of continuous improvement and implementing innovative workplace processes to address workplace challenges
- A proven safety-first approach above all else
- Desire to build career with Silk Contract Logistics
