Form of workPryce Mining Services specialises in supplying personnel to the underground mining industry.
Due to our expanding client base, we require the services of experienced Underground Airleg Miners for immediate start.
Role Description
You will be part of a four man crew whose role is to ground support 5m diameter ventilation rises. Vent rise depths for the working area’s vary from 24m to 34m.
More specifically the role includes:
- Strapping and cable bolting over shotcrete walls
- Shrinking the working floor and support the vent rise collum floor to floor.
- Installation of handheld ground support to specification using handheld mining equipment
- Utilising mechanical aids or blow piping of shaft floor to create level work areas.
- Installation of mine services, poly pipe, fans, ventilation, pumps, eyebolts, and ground support as required outside the shaft area.
Role Prerequisites
- Airleg mining experience of no less than 2yrs, showing competency in installing ground support with a handheld rockdrill.
- Excellent level of fitness
- Provide a suitable National Police Clearance
- Be an Australian Resident
- Be able to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Be committed to working in a team environment with a positive safety culture.
The above role is located in Central NSW and depending on experience of the candidate - we will consider any even time roster and FIFO from any major city in Australia.
