Your new role
The Galley Loader/Offsider is responsible for loading equipment onto trucks, guiding the driver to various types of aircraft and moving equipment from the truck to the aircraft galley according to customer guidelines while adhering to safety regulations.
Please note. These vacancies are based at Brisbane Airport.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete the gathering and fault free timely load / off-load of catering material, assuring complete load security, coordinating with all necessary departments and duty manager.
- Load and unload aircraft in accordance with flight schedules, loading lists / labels and stowage into the correct galley positions.
- Liaise with the Transport Dispatcher (Dock Controller) in the case of injuries and accidents, absence of material, or any other irregular operations or block outs.
- Point of contact between Transport Dispatcher (Dock Controller) and driver whilst on tarmac.
- Use downtime accordance to the Transport Dispatcher (Dock Controller) for example: laundry, storage, vehicle cleaning, Pick & Pack, etc.).
- Comply with the regulations (Materials / Security / Country / Safety / SQOR / Company Rules and Procedures).
- Additional meal handling as required.
We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess:
- A current full driver's licence
- Experience in a customer facing support or a similar role would be highly regarded
- Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Good communication skills
- Availability to work a 7-day roster across morning and afternoon shifts
- The ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card, (ASIC) and Airside Driving Authority, (ADA)
- No criminal background
