As an integral leader in the operationalisation of significant Airports infrastructure, this role is responsible for the overall strategic leadership, development, integration and execution planning of the Perth and Western Sydney Airport developments. 

As the Airports Operations Design Integration Lead, you will be the subject matter expert and represent the Airports’ business in broader cross-functional projects & programs and lead the operationalisation of the infrastructure strategy. The program of work is at the cutting edge of airport design and new technologies, and this role will be at the forefront of the transformation of the airport experience and how we do things and playing a pivotal role in ensuring QAG is a world leader in this. 

Utilising your intricate knowledge of Airport operations, you will influence & recommend solution designs within your project design and delivery. As the voice of the business, you will ensure the design end-to-end requirements of the Airport and its operation is front and centre in the design and implementation of significant change initiatives, designing Airports decades into the future. 

Your presence onsite will be deeply valued and impactful. Your input will be critical in ensuring the design and program change initiatives are fit for purpose and will meet commercial imperatives on time. You will do this by acting as a key liaison contact point between projects and Airports business unit teams, providing a seamless experience for Airports Infrastructure programs ensuring they are operationalised and fit-for-purpose for key ports developments. 

You’ll have –  

  • Demonstrated highly effective stakeholder management with a variety of internal and external teams at all levels, including senior leadership. 
  • Strong influencing skills, resilience, and a proven ability to navigate complexity in an ever-changing operational environment 
  • Extensive expertise in program management balancing competing priorities, prioritising workload, and using effective problem-solving skills within an operational environment, preferably within Aviation 
  • Proven ability to manage significant, complex projects or initiatives across multiple areas or business units with significant budget 
  • Strong background in delivery and implementation methodologies within Airports and aviation infrastructure, risk management and principles of change 
  • Ability and confidence to quickly identify key opportunities and issues in any business, and develop strategies or plans to capitalise on these opportunities or resolve issues  
  • An appreciation of the industrial landscape and appreciation of how change impacts customer experience employees at the Airport 
  • Proven and strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret metrics, identify trends and develop strategies
