Due to continued growth AE Smith – Townsville requires HVAC Technicians | Electrician| Plumber and senior apprentices for positions based in Townsville.

AE Smith technical service division has become synonymous with quality, technical expertise and innovation in the design, installation, and maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical infrastructure. As such we are seeking applications from experienced HVAC Technician | Electrician | Plumber | Senior Apprentices to join our North Queensland team.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct maintenance, repair and installation work utilising technical skills and set procedures and standards as determined by the Company.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are delivered in accordance with the Maintenance Schedule, and unplanned maintenance needs are coordinated through the Supervisor to ensure that all work is completed appropriately and on time. 
  • Ensure that all system faults and breakdowns are rectified in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all designated installation works are completed in accordance with the contract requirements and program. 
  • Conduct all work in accordance with AE Smith standards and Company Policy. 
  • Active Zero Harm Safety management across field staff to promote lead behaviours to achieve objectives.
  • Drive consistent operational processes across all team to ensure outcomes across Safety, customer satisfaction, compliance, financial and staff development are maintained and achieved.
  • Work collaboratively with other functional business areas (Projects, Business Development, Administration, and Scheduling.) to achieve overall business objectives.

To be considered for this role you will possess the following experience and personal qualities:

  • Trade or degree qualifications in relevant mechanical, Plumbing, or electrical disciplines.
  • Strong time management and scheduling skills 
  • Good Interpretation skills with technical drawing and Specifications 
  • Good Microsoft office and reporting ability
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills
