What you'll be doing
As an Allied Health Assistant supporting the Allied Health (AH) team at Auburn Hospital your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Delivering efficient and high-quality services to patients and clients.
- Working under the supervision of treating Allied Health professionals.
- Supporting various Allied Health disciplines: Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work and Speech Pathology.
- Engaging in activities supporting the operation of Allied Health departments.
- Contributing across the continuum of care.

Essential Requirements:
- Qualification: Certificate III or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
Selection Criteria:
- Successful completion of Certificate III or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated previous experience working in a health environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a contributing member of the Allied Health team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload delegated by supervising AHP's, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice, seeking assistance as required.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a healthcare service or professional care giving capacity, in a positive manner enhancing the client's ability to achieve positive outcomes and personal goals.
