About the role
We are looking for a full time staff member to work alongside an established and highly skilled team. Clinic located at Miranda, Hurstville and Bondi Junction and work days are Monday to Friday with no weekend or public holiday work.
To work alongside the Orthoptic and Reception team, responsibilities include:
- Patient workup including Vision Assessment and Eye Pressure readings
- Ancillary testing including OCT scans, visual field testing and fundus photography
- General orthoptic and consulting room housekeeping
- Assist with minor op procedures
- Data entry for clinical trials and research
- Equipment care and calibration
- Reviewing Oculo referral system
- Identifying urgent referrals
- Clinic consumables stocktake and orders
- Reception assistance as needed
- Answering patient queries and liaising with referrers
- Booking in new patients, moving and rescheduling appointments using EMR database - Healthtrack

- Someone with a passion for working with people, especially the elderly.
- You are an ambitious, solutions focused and an energetic team member
- Strong attention to detail with clear and effective communication skills
- Self-motivated, positive and demonstrate the willingness to listen and learn
- Must be able to work across all three practice locations – Bondi Junction, Hurstville and Miranda
- experience in medical field desirable but not essential - on the job training provided.
