Allied Health Assistant - Physiotherapy

Department:  Physiotherapy

Classification:   Health and Allied, Managers and Admin Workers (AHA Grade 1 or 2)

Hours per fortnight: 48hrs/fn
Status: Perm Part Time 

Applications are sought from suitably qualified Allied Health Assistants to work in the Physiotherapy Team at Echuca Regional Health. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide therapy to patients under Allied Health Professional guidence     
• Work within a team environment         
• Running groups, 1:1 patient therapy, community visits, administration tasks    

Our team requires someone who has:

• Qualifications in Allied Health Assistant  (certificate III or IV) or equivalent    
• Proven experience as a Allied Health Assistant     
• High-level awareness of scope of practice of Allied Health Assistant     
• Demonstrated knowledge of Allied Health disciplines      
• Strong communication, time management skills and are self motivated with the ability to work independently or within a team   
• Working with patients and liasing with rehab team to provide excellent patient centred care in order to achieve client goals.

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and drivers licence.
