DNA Nursing are currently sourcing an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse Level 2 to work within a busy Theatres Department at a large public hospital in Canberra. The Division of Surgery includes Surgical Bookings and Pre-Admission Clinic, Anaesthesia, Pain Management Unit, Operating Theatres, Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit, Day Surgery Unit and Admissions / Extended Day Surgery Unit, specialist surgical ward areas, medical and nursing Outpatient services, Shock Trauma Service, and Trauma and Orthopaedic Research Unit. The position resports directly to the Anaesthetic CNC and will be part of the nursing leadership team.

Job Description:

• Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards
• Support the nursing team to provide comprehensive direct patient focused care using evidence-based practice
• Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary teamProvide leadership and promote a commitment to high quality customer service principles, practices, and attributes.
• Actively participate in and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement
• Participates in managing and maintaining equipment and supplies
   

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA Registration
• 3 years experience working as Anaesthetic RN
• Computer literacy
• Understanding of NSQHS
• National Police Check
• Prior to commencement, candidates will be required to obtain a compliance certificate from OMU
